BM Songs and Lyrics: Keluarga Saya

This month, the theme for our Kinder Champ (Nursery) BM class is 'Keluarga Saya'. As some of the parents have suggested that we share some of the materials used in our classes so as to enable them to sing along with their children at home and reinforce the lessons learnt, we are providing all parents with some of the songs sung and the lyrics.

Paediatric First Aid and Emergency Care Training for Adults

Dear Parents,

Thank you for your interest in our upcoming training for parents organised by English Champ entitled ‘Paediatric First Aid and Emergency Care Training for Adults’.

Children are so precious and as parents, ideally, we would like to protect them by keeping them under our wings at all times. However, keeping them confined and not providing them a chance to explore their surroundings will hinder their growth and development. What should we do? We provide them with a safe and child friendly environment to explore. However, accidents could still happen and unless we are equipped with the life-skill of knowing how to handle such emergencies, we may not be able to help our child while waiting for medical assistance to arrive.

In collaboration with Malaysia Safety and Emergency Academy, we present a ‘Paediatric First Aid and Emergency Care Training for Adults’. The syllabus covers topics on how to perform CPR under different circumstances such as drowning and choking; wound management for minor and major injuries such as fall, incision, and amputation; nose bleed; burns and scalds of different degrees; seizures; bites and stings; head injury; and others.

Since it is our first time organising this training, we have limited seats allocated for our teachers and parents. Those with children enrolled in English Champ will receive 10% discount on the fee for registration made by 30 March 2013. Seats are on first come first serve basis and registration is only confirmed once payment is made. Please note that payment made is not refundable but it is transferable.

Participants must bring their own stationery and a set of old clothing (t-shirt and shorts) for mock-drill purposes.

Fee is inclusive of two (2) tea breaks but excluding lunch. Training certificate with a validity period of three years will be awarded to participants who have successfully completed the training.

The training is conducted by MSE Academy Sdn Bhd and its curriculum has been reviewed by the American College of Emergency Physicians. The curriculum is in Accordance to the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH/JHP) - Guideline on First Aid in the Workplace; American Heart Association - 2010 ECC and CPR Guideline and International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation - CoSTR2010.

Info Day - How to Raise a High IQ Child

In today's fast paced world where both parents are the income earners in a household and they are not able to spend as much time as they would like to at home with their children, is it still possible to raise their offsprings well?

In collaboration with Learning Gateway and ChildPsychTM , Centre for Child Psychology (a division of International Psychology Centre), English Champ is holding an info day to educate parents on How to Raise a High IQ Child. For more details, join us for a free talk on our Info Day.

2011 ICAS Prize-Giving Ceremony

The 2011 ICAS results for Computer Skills, Science, Mathematics, English and Writing are now available. Kindly contact us to make an appointment to collect the certificates and assessment sheet.

We would like to invite all students especially those who had attended our 2011
ICAS English and Writing workshops to a prize-giving ceremony which will be held at our centre on 19 November 2011 at 2 p.m.

We will be presenting students who have been awarded with Gold Medal, High Distinction and Distinction in the recent ICAS English and Writing with certificate of achievement.

Students and parents are encouraged to mingle with one another and share their success stories as well as challenges they were faced with in their preparation for
the ICAS.

It is our hope that next year, our students will be geared up for the test and more
confident in tackling the test questions. This event is open to anyone who had previously taken the ICAS or would like to know more about it.

The prize giving ceremony will be held in conjunction with our 10th anniversary celebration.

We wish to inform that registration for ICAS English and Writing Course for 2012 is now open.
